Germany’s Green Steel Ambition
Germany plans to transition one-third of its steel industry to green technologies by 2030, targeting 12 million tons of eco-friendly steel annually.

Government Investment and Emission Reduction Goals
Economy Minister Robert Habeck announced this initiative to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Despite heavy government investment, challenges remain due to high energy costs and competition from Asian exporters. Trade unions and industry leaders are calling for more support to protect jobs and maintain Germany’s industrial leadership.
